I REMEMBER SOME THINGS

Photography, archival research, visual design, book design National Diploma of Art (DNA) project

Memory is made of fleeting moments, preserved through places, people, and objects. Drawing from recent family photographs and images recovered from old albums, I Remember Some Things explores the fragile nature of personal memory through blur, drawing, and digital and analogue distortions. Colour, composition, distance, and materiality become ways of shifting attention away from photographic detail towards atmosphere, emotion, and the sensation of remembering. The project also examines media archaeology and the evolution of photographic media as objects of memory, questioning how images are preserved, transformed, and experienced over time.
